Ludwig Van Beethoven
Blogging whilst listening to the tunes of a piano being played somewhere in my apartment block...,sigh, how pleasant. Not so pleasant at 9 every morning though.
The Beauty of Distance
In August my amazing Mum and I visited the 17th Biennale of Sydney: The Beauty of Distance. We went to the Museum of Contemporary Art and the caught the ferry across to Cockatoo Island. I am never a huge fan of the Biennale, all their strange ways of making political statements and art too odd to make much sense out of the apparent concept behind it, however this year was different. It was amazing, interesting, witty and so so enjoyable. Just kicking pebbles around Cockatoo Island is fantastic on its own, there is something so eerie and haunted about the place, it makes you feel different.
Here is a small collection of artworks and photo worthy sights from Cockatoo Island.
Artists Danius Kesminas and Michael Stevenson, composer Neil Kelly, musicologist Rohan Drape, and inventor David Nelson
"Slave Pianos Penological Pianology: The Timbres of Justice"
Exhibition goers viewing Daniel Crooks' "Static No.12 (seek stillness in movement)"
Kader Attia "Kasbah"
Choi Jeong Hwa "Hubble Bubble"
Yvonne Todd "Goat Sluice"
Serge Spitzer "Molecular"

A Little Bit of Country
Grande Vista
Oberon, NSW
This is Oberon, one of my favourite places in the world. These images are of my 2nd cousins farm, a charming, relaxing cattle farm not too far from Bathurst.
These photos were taken so that I could carry the memory of this place with me where ever I went, they are images of all my favorite little things/places around the property that give it the magnificent character that makes me love this place so much.
Grande Vista has now been sold and these pictures capture my last visit to this delightful place.
WHERE TO START?
I have never blogged before, its not as simple as one may think! I stayed up all night trying to figure where to start?
Essentially I wanted to blog to be able to share my photography and art making, why? Because it is not that easy to be able to share with others what I see through my camera. Without being able to share what I capture I often thought my hobby lacked point. I argue (with myself) that the point in doing it is because it is what I love, and yes that is a valid point...but maybe someone else may love what I do? I would like to give people that opportunity.
I still don't know where to start!
